Montenegro’s central bank delegation headed by Irena Radović to attend IMF and World Bank meetings in Bangkok

The Central Bank of Montenegro (CBCG) is sending a delegation led by Governor Irena Radović to the IMF and World Bank Group Annual Meetings in Bangkok, Thailand, running from today through Sunday. For investors and policymakers, the trip matters because these gatherings are a key venue for coordinating responses to global economic pressures and for aligning reform agendas with international partners.

Who will attend and what the meetings cover

Organised by the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank Group, the annual meetings bring together global leaders, central bank governors and finance ministers. They also include representatives from international financial organisations, the private sector, academia and civil society.

According to CBCG, the meetings offer an opportunity to strengthen international cooperation amid current challenges in the global economy.

CBCG’s agenda in Bangkok

The CBCG delegation will hold bilateral meetings with senior IMF and World Bank officials, as well as representatives of partner organisations and other international financial institutions. The central bank said discussions will address current global economic and financial challenges.

CBCG added that its talks will focus on strengthening systemic resilience and institutional capacity, alongside continued support for reforms and Montenegro’s European integration.

By pairing bilateral engagement with a reform-and-integration agenda, CBCG’s participation underscores how small open economies often use multilateral forums to maintain policy momentum while navigating shifting global conditions.
