Investor Mohamed Alabbar from the United Arab Emirates has shown interest in development projects in Kolašin, Montenegro, announced Vasilije Ivanović, Vice President of the Municipality for Infrastructure Development. During his visit, Alabbar toured two key projects related to the Sinjajevina and Bjelasica regions, which were presented by local officials.

After deciding not to pursue a project on Ulcinj’s Velika Plaža, Alabbar shifted focus to Kolašin, where he met with the municipality’s President Petko Bakić and Vice President Ivanović. The officials highlighted Kolašin’s potential in tourism, agriculture, and energy, emphasizing sustainable development and the preservation of natural resources.

The Bjelasica project envisions creating a mountain resort with both winter and summer tourism offerings, fully supported by existing planning documents. Sinjajevina was described as a pristine natural area ideal for organic food production and environmental conservation.

Alabbar expressed a positive impression, comparing Kolašin’s potential to some of Europe’s most exclusive destinations. Local authorities expect further discussions soon and are optimistic about the possibility of future investments, which could significantly boost Kolašin’s tourism sector.
