As previously announced, the tender for the construction of the cable car is expected to be announced in the last quarter of this year, with an estimated investment value of around 60 million EUR.

This phase is an extension of the Kotor – Lovćen cable car, which was opened in August 2023. The cable car route starts at the Dub station near Kotor and ends at the Kuk location on Lovćen, at an altitude of 1,350 meters. The cable car has 48 gondolas, and the total travel time in both directions is 22 minutes.

The construction of the first phase was managed by a consortium of companies Leitner and Novi Volvox.
