Closing three chapters marks historic milestone for Montenegro’s European future

The closure of three negotiation chapters represents a historic moment and a confirmation of Montenegro’s European future, said the Vice President of the Government for Economic Policy and Minister of Economic Development, Nik Gjeloshaj.

At the Intergovernmental Conference held in Brussels on Monday, Montenegro closed three negotiating chapters after seven years of negotiations.

The chapters closed were Chapter 7 – Intellectual Property Rights, Chapter 10 – Information Society and Media, and Chapter 20 – Entrepreneurship and Industrial Policy.

“Closing these three chapters, to which we made a strong contribution, is a historic moment and a confirmation of Montenegro’s European future,” Gjeloshaj added.

He emphasized that they have worked diligently and made a significant step toward achieving the country’s main goal – Montenegro’s EU membership by 2028.
