Montenegrin producers win 199 awards at Novi Sad International Agricultural Fair

Montenegrin products received high recognition at the International Agricultural Fair in Novi Sad, where producers won a significant number of awards. A total of 56 producers submitted samples, earning 199 awards, including 102 gold medals, 19 large gold medals, 42 silver, and 10 bronze medals, as well as multiple champion trophies and special recognitions.

The Montenegrin Chamber of Commerce organized a national stand featuring 16 producers from agriculture, food industry, and rural tourism sectors. Participation in this prestigious event provides companies with opportunities to establish new business contacts, exchange knowledge, and promote authentic Montenegrin products in the regional market.

Mitar Bajčeta, General Secretary of the Chamber, emphasized the importance of regional cooperation, noting that fairs like this have supported Montenegrin producers for over 15 years and contribute to strengthening the local economy through campaigns encouraging the purchase of domestic products.

Several producers shared their experiences at the fair:

  • Paša Dedvukaj from Dedvukaj Vineyards proudly announced that all three of their wines won gold medals, which motivates them to continue developing their winemaking tradition.
  • Emica Krivokapić presented an organic fertilizer made from Californian earthworms, highlighting the value of fairs for expanding their customer base and creating new contacts.
  • Miranis, a producer of small pastries, expressed satisfaction with the recognition of their product quality and authenticity.
  • Željko Macanović, a grain and flour producer, showcased a special flour variety that earned a gold medal.
  • Naš sokić company introduced two types of natural juices, with their apple juice receiving a gold medal for quality.
  • Meat industry company Goranović from Nikšić uses the fair to strengthen existing partnerships and establish new business relations with Serbian firms.
  • Vladica Kuzmanović, importer of Durmitor tea in Serbia, noted that fairs are essential for presenting products to wider markets beyond local regions.
  • Miloš Milosavljević from Greenmond highlighted the growing demand for organic and natural products, including plant proteins and cold-pressed oils, especially among foreign customers.
  • Dragan Gaćević of GANIT introduced “Crnogorski dukat,” an apple-based alcoholic beverage recognized as the best national drink, emphasizing the support from the Chamber of Commerce.
  • Winery Đukanović exhibited for the first time in Novi Sad and won one gold and two silver medals.
  • Rakija Trnovača, a brand well-known for winning gold medals, benefits from fairs as key places to meet partners and develop production and distribution.
  • Vlado Tošić, producer of natural pomegranate juices and wines near Bar, praised the fair as an important window to the world for small producers.
