The Parliament of Montenegro has adopted amendments to the Pension and Disability Insurance Law, which provide that recipients of proportional pensions will receive a minimum pension of 450 euros.

The Parliament also accepted the proposal of the Legislative Committee for the amendments to come into effect the day after their publication in the Official Gazette, due to the urgency of the matter.

At this session, amendments proposed by the Special Parliamentary Club were not accepted.

In Montenegro, there are around 11,000 recipients of proportional pensions who are Montenegrin citizens. These individuals have accumulated their work experience over the past decades in two or more former Yugoslav republics or other countries, meaning they do not have a unified work record.
