The Montenegrin government has approved a support plan for the development of the Innovation Fund’s activities for this year, with a total value of six million euros.
The plan outlines three key initiatives: strengthening existing support programs due to high market demand, establishing a Regional Accelerator focused on sustainability and artificial intelligence, and developing GovTech solutions.
For the first time, the plan introduces a “pre-seed” and “seed” accelerator designed to support early-stage technology companies with high growth potential.
Since the program began, 432 escrow agreements have been signed, and a total of 31 million euros is currently available to support innovation development in Montenegro.
This plan expands the portfolio of initiatives by the Innovation Fund, expected to deliver concrete results this year and create synergy with ongoing programs.
The government highlights that this year is a significant milestone, as substantial funds have been made available for implementing concrete innovation programs and activities, encouraging other innovation infrastructure entities to expand their efforts according to market needs.
