In April 2025, Montenegro recorded an unemployment rate of 9.91%, the lowest level since the Employment Agency began keeping official records, Prime Minister Milojko Spajić announced.
“Single-digit unemployment – for the first time in Montenegro’s history!” Spajić wrote on the social media platform X.

Minister of Labour, Employment and Social Dialogue, Naida Nišić, also commented on the achievement.
“This is not just a number – it’s proof of serious reforms, the trust of our citizens, and the result of our joint efforts,” Nišić stated.
