Montenegro sees decline in tourist overnight stays in April 2025, majority from foreign visitors

In April 2025, Montenegro experienced a decline in the number of tourist overnight stays in collective accommodation, according to data from the Statistical Office (Monstat).

The report states that foreign tourists accounted for 86.6% of the total overnight stays, while domestic tourists made up 13.4%.

By type of tourist destination, most overnight stays in April 2025 were recorded in coastal areas (84.3%), followed by the capital city (10.6%), other locations (3.2%), and mountain resorts (1.9%), Monstat’s report says.
