The establishment of a new maritime route between Kotor and Dubrovnik marks a significant step forward in strengthening the friendly and economic relations between Montenegro and Croatia, according to Montenegro’s Minister of Maritime Affairs, Filip Radulović.
He stated that the route will make the coastlines of both countries even more attractive to visitors.
The Kotor–Dubrovnik line will operate until September 30 this year and is expected to greatly facilitate travel for both locals and tourists. Additionally, by reducing road traffic, it will contribute to environmental protection and the sustainable development of tourism.
The Ministry also reminded the public that, in addition to the Kotor–Dubrovnik line, three other international maritime routes connecting Montenegro with neighboring countries will be active this summer season: Budva–Dubrovnik, Bar–Bari, and Bar–Ancona.
“In less than two years of this administration, we have established four maritime routes, demonstrating the government’s commitment to expanding its maritime network. These routes play a key role in boosting the local economy, developing Montenegro’s industry, and continuing the construction and modernization of maritime infrastructure,” said Radulović.
He added that these are important steps toward positioning Montenegro as a key point on the Adriatic maritime map.
