Port of Bar reports 3% decrease in cargo transshipment for 2024

In the Port of Bar, a total of 1.84 million tons of cargo were transshipped last year, which is a 3% decrease compared to 2023, when the transshipment volume was 1.9 million tons.

“The business plan for the previous year aimed for a transshipment volume of 2.31 million tons, so the realized transshipment was at 80% of the planned target,” the management’s annual business report states.

The report highlights a noticeable decline in the transshipment of bulk cargo, while liquid and general cargo showed an increase compared to 2023.

Of the total 1.84 million tons transshipped, 1.47 million tons were bulk cargo, 270.8 thousand tons were liquid cargo, and 101.5 thousand tons were general cargo.
