Krško nuclear plant output edges above plan in April 2026
Slovenia and Croatia’s jointly operated Krško Nuclear Power Plant produced slightly more electricity than planned in April 2026, a modest outperformance that underscores steady generation under tight operating requirements. Net output totaled 501,498 MWh, edging above the monthly plan of 500,000 MWh by about 0.3%.
April performance vs. plan and last year
For comparison, the plant generated 503,994 MWh of net electricity in the same month last year. That figure was also close to expectations but came in slightly below the prior year’s planned level of 515,000 MWh, a deviation of 0.8%.
Operational stability and safety compliance
Throughout the reporting period, Krško continued to operate under strict technical specifications, with all safety systems fully functional. Both its availability factor and capacity factor remained at 100%, indicating uninterrupted performance. The operator reported no technical issues or operational disruptions during the month.
For investors and market participants tracking nuclear supply reliability, the combination of near-plan generation and consistently full availability provides a clear signal of operational steadiness—an important consideration when power demand and system balance depend on predictable baseload output.
